The Primrose School of Austin at Mueller, is nestled on the first floor of the Texas Mutual Insurance Building within the bustling Mueller development. The existing location is undergoing an 11,500 SF interior addition, alongside a 2,000 SF expansion of its outdoor play area.

- New indoor play area
- Updated office/reception area
- Staff resource room
- Additional storage/laundry facilities
- Expanded outdoor play area complete with artificial turf and playground equipment
This expansion remodel and tenant finish-out project highlights our team's proficiency in managing the intricate process of improving and expanding an existing space.
Design and Construction Features
Our approach to the Primrose School project is characterized by attention to detail and innovation. The interior remodel features extensive trim carpentry, custom shelving, cabinets, countertops, and a comprehensive finishes schedule, enriching the aesthetic and functional aspects of the space.
Sustainability and Environmental Considerations
Sustainability is at the core of the Primrose School expansion. By opting for an interior finish-out, leveraging the building's existing chilled water system, and incorporating an Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) for enhanced efficiency, this project exemplifies our commitment to environmentally responsible construction practices.

This project aims to enhance the early education landscape significantly. Taking place within and around a bustling office building, it presents a unique set of logistical challenges. These include restricted access through narrow doors and limited space for staging, which have required thoughtful planning and strategic execution. Our team has focused on innovative solutions and adaptability to address these challenges effectively, ensuring minimal disruption. This effort underscores our dedication to maintaining a smooth operation and respectful presence in active environments.
The Primrose team made their mark on the future, literally, by visiting the construction site for the addition to Primrose School. This special occasion allowed them to inscribe their names and write messages full of hope and dreams on the very walls that will soon be part of the learning environment for many. New Projects with Primrose Schools
We're excited to announce that ECI is embarking on two new projects with Primrose Schools. These ground-up facilities are set to enrich young minds in Austin's Easton Park and Kyle's Sage Hollow development. The Easton Park location will span 13,548 square feet, while the Kyle facility will cover 15,272 square feet. Both projects will feature stick frame wood construction and structural prefabricated roof truss systems, with TPO roofs complemented by standing seam awnings. Each site will boast state-of-the-art amenities, including synthetic turf playgrounds, shade structures, and perimeter wrought iron fencing, ensuring safe and engaging play areas for children. Our commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovative design ensures these spaces will nurture learning and creativity for our communities. This project was made possible in part due to Primrose getting a grant to support affordable childcare for Austin families. This makes the expansion of the Primrose School of Austin at Mueller more than a construction project; it's a community investment. The project's benefits extend beyond the immediate community, contributing to the local economy by creating more teaching positions and enabling parents to pursue their careers with the assurance of quality childcare.
